The New Asus G71GX will boast a the newest Nvidia GTX 260M, 2x 500GB Drives, HDMI Out, BD-ROM/DVD-RW, 17in Screen, and 12GB OF RAM! Talk about a step ahead! Asus claims based around the new Intel Centrino 2 platform will perform 50 percent better than the old 9800M.

There is no set price yet, but, Gateway is still pumping out many competing laptops going toe, to toe with Asus, their latest is the P-7808u FX at $1699.99. With a Core 2 Quad Q9000, 1GB 9800M GT, and 4GB of DDR3. 

So if your in the market for a nice, new gaming laptop, soon, may be a good time to invest.
